PETER BROOKS
about the artist
Peter Brooks graduated with Honors from Middlebury College, where he was distinguished for his sculptural work by the Middlebury College Commitee for Art in Public Places. After leaving Vermont, Peter moved to Boston and became an apprentice to bronze sculptor Dimitri Hadzi. He has been teaching visual arts at The Beaver Country Day School for the past four years and maintains a sculpture studio in Hyde Park, a small industrial section of Boston. Most recently, Peter has been awarded an ART (Art Renewal for Teachers) Grant by The Philanthropic Initiative of Massachusetts through which he will fabricate a series of large-scale, outdoor sculptures this coming summer.
